Building Capacity Trailblazing Women: Stories of Success & Growth
In recognition of Women’s History Month, Maria de J. Prado, CPA was invited to join the Cook County Office of the Chief Procurement Officer‘s panel of distinguished women business leaders. The panel was part of their Center for Business Enterprise Development initiative to host a Capacity Building Series to support and empower their business community.
In the panel, Maria had the pleasure of recounting her professional journey and lessons learned with aspiring small business owners and entrepreneurs. A big part of our firm’s success has been our certification as a Minority and Women-owned Business Enterprise (MBE/WBE), and the benefits its reaps.
As a pathway to expanded opportunities, we encourage business owners to pursue a MBE and/or WBE certification with the Illinois Cook County Government in addition to other local and regional agencies.
