In celebration of our firm’s 35th anniversary, Managing Partner—Maria de J. Prado, CPA—and Attestation Partner—Hilda S. Renteria, CPA—were featured in Negocios Now Spring/Summer issue. In this interview, Maria and Hilda look back on our three-decade journey, the shared passion that built the firm and offer words of advice to female entrepreneurs.
Responsible Leadership
Becoming the largest women-owned accounting firm in Illinois is, for both of them, an honor that also entails a great deal of commitment. “It’s a huge responsibility,” Hilda says. “By adhering to the standards of our profession, we contribute to transparency in our clients’ financial reporting to the public regarding their compliance with rules and regulations.”
Maria, for her part, emphasizes her role in the community. “We also represent our people in different spaces. Hilda, for example, serves in the Illinois CPA Society, and I am a member of the Illinois Board of Examiners.”
